Meet Dr. Kala Mapes
Dr. Kala Mapes knew she wanted to be a dentist from a young age after she took out her first baby tooth. She loves that dentistry brings together science and art to create a beautiful smile. She attended Albion College where she obtained a Bachelor of Arts, Barry University for a Master of Science, and Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry for her Doctorate of Dental Surgery. Outside of the office, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, running marathons, paddleboarding, and trying new restaurants.

One of our primary affiliations is with the Howell Nature Center, a wildlife sanctuary and educational facility committed to teaching visitors about the natural world.

Brenda
Brenda comes from an extensive healthcare background as a physical therapy assistant for 23 years. She is the first smiling face you will see when you visit our office and provides excellent customer care from your first phone call. In her spare time, she enjoys running, camping, and playing handbells in bell choir.
Lauren
Lauren was drawn to dentistry to help educate others about their oral health. After spending time in braces, she was inspired by smile transformations by her orthodontist. She enjoys helping patients feel comfortable and at ease during their dental visits. Outside of the office, she loves spending time in the barn with her horse, Nellie and her dog, Mel.
Pepper
Pepper is the office mascot and CBO (chief bark officer). She enjoys hiking and going up north with friends.
